The Word of God states that “you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free”. (John 8:32).  As a Christian counselor I rely on the power of the Lord Jesus Christ to do what man cannot do in and of him/herself.  The Word of God is the foundation of my practice and all therapeutic approaches utilized are filtered through the Word of God.  With the client’s permission, scripture and prayer are utilized in the counseling session.  You are never alone on your counseling journey and as we put God in the process, we can rest in the hope that He makes everything beautiful in His time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
